In a major boost to youth welfare, Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru has approved a ₦30,000 monthly state stipend for every National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member deployed to the state.

This was disclosed at the official swearing-in ceremony of the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Afikpo.

Delivering the address on behalf of the Governor, the Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Chidiebere Onyia, reassured the incoming corps members of the administration’s steadfast commitment to their security and well-being.
