Finally here! The first lot of heat exchangers for the Star Heater just arrived after sailing across the globe. Cooling an immersion mining device is not so straightforward. There’s a lot of heat generated by the miner, but at a low temperature. A small temperature gradient between your hot fluid and cold fluid require a very efficient heat exchanger. So this is why the plate & frame was selected. Add to this the chlorine and salt water as coolant which makes it incompatible with most metals. This explains the choice of titanium plates for corrosion resistance. Trying to get this equipment at a good price was a challenge too. The Star Heater is built only with quality components, the heat exchanger being one of the most important! https://t.co/nxxToFXrxT
