15 tips on 'making it' in this bull run -

1. Do not over-rotate and do not try to increase your core position by trying to sell high and buy low. It seldom works.
2. Cut out the laggards if they don't move during altseason.
3. Make heavy concentrated bets with a max of 5 core positions in your portfolio. Never touch these until it's time to take profits. Have a separate dedicated trading bag if keen on trading.
4. Don't fade memes. Be mid curve but also remember to be left curve.
5. Go harder into the winners.
6. DCA even on the way up (price) if we are in early stages of the bull market.
7. BTFD - buy the fucking dips/flushes. Don't try to catch the absolute bottom. DCA.
8. Tech doesn't matter. Community, speculation, hype, meme, and marketing is all that matters.
9. Farm airdrops if starting with low capital. Only have about 10-20% allocated for farming. Spot positions will always have the highest ROI.
10. Avoid leverage unless you are an expert at trading
11. Take profits along the way. Ignore moonbois calling for 100-1000x's. Have a well laid out plan and execute it when the time comes.
12. Never touch your emergency funds/savings to invest in crypto. Avoid FOMO and larps who entice you by posting their PnL on twitter/X.
13. When taking profits and cashing out, avoid keeping in stables. Cash out to fiat and use it in the real world. Even stables are not 100% safe in crypto.
14. Work for your bags. Create content, tweet about the projects, and support the community.
15. Stay humble even after making life changing money. Avoid comparing your portfolio performance with another's as someone rightly said 'COMPARISON IS THE THIEF OF JOY'.

Never take out crypto-backed loans. Not even against Bitcoin. Here's my story from the October 10, 2025 crash.

Two months before the crash, I borrowed against 5 bitcoin:native (~$600K at the time) through Coinbase's Morpho lending service.

BTC was trading around $120K. My liquidation price was ~$100K. I figured I'd have plenty of time to add collateral or repay the loan if BTC started falling.

I couldn't have been more wrong.

On October 10, BTC plunged from $120K to $115K, $110K, then $102K within an hour.

I had enough USDC sitting on Coinbase to repay my entire loan. But Morpho stopped working. Repayment attempts failed.

I even tried liquidating other holdings and transferring additional funds. Nothing worked. 10 attempt to pay off the loan and all in vain.

At $103K, I genuinely thought my 5 BTC were gone. I was sitting at my desk contemplating how I would recover from this.

Fortunately, BTC rebounded near $102K. Once the platform stabilized, I repaid everything and withdrew my Bitcoin.

The lesson? Liquidation risk isn't your only enemy. Platform failure during extreme volatility can wipe you out EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE THE FUNDS TO SAVE YOURSELF.

Never again. No leverage. No crypto-backed loans. Not even Bitcoin.

Coinbase loans just got a LOT more expensive overnight.

@Coinbase BTC-backed loan interest rates spiked from ~5% to over 13.8%

It's settled down slightly to 9.75% this morning. Currently ~2x the cost of the loan as is was yesterday.

And here's the part most people still don't understand:

Your BTC is used to mint cbBTC out of thin air, which gets pushed onto @Morpho. If Morpho gets hacked or the cbBTC disappears, Coinbase loses none of the collateralized BTC.

You do.

Coinbase keeps the real BTC.

So the borrower gets:

• Smart contract risk
• Morpho risk
• Wrapped BTC risk

...AND now gets to pay 2x to 3x higher interest for that risk.

How many people understood THAT when they clicked "Borrow"?

@RonSwanonson How is it different than OP? You are not even making sense anymore.

Anyway, we are not getting anywhere and our simply wasting each other’s time.

Good luck on your journey.

[CV @CryptoSrm]

@RonSwanonson Been buying since 2016 and used leverage only once in my life and regretted it.

Didn’t realize that we are in a dick measuring contest here. But hey, I will play along.

[CV @CryptoSrm]

@RonSwanonson Oh and you were smart enough to know that it was the top?

You were one of those that kept calling for higher when we were at $120K.

Such irony.
