40 min lecture on AI economics - if plan to invest into SpaceX, OpenAI, Anthropic - must watch.
1. Revenue growth equals but lags compute growth - just watch how fast co adds compute
2. Buy "bottom of the AI stack" - batteries, generation, cooling, etc.
3. Short Apps - with AI you just say what outcome you need and get it.
Apple is throttling AI adoption because they don't want the Apple Store 30% toll to go away and Apple goes to being premium hardware again?
MS&E 435 Class 5 with @sk7037 is now up: https://t.co/xSZuxLOjEB
We discuss how OpenAI plans to scale from ~2GW to ~30GW of compute capacity by 2030, a heterogenous compute strategy, and compute bottlenecks lie. I learned a ton from this conversation and hope you do too.
Apologies for the delay in getting this online. We are committed to open-sourcing these conversations. Conversations from Class 5 onwards will be posted on the Stanford channel. Thanks your patience!
@RnaudBertrand EU collects more from fines on IT companies (mostly US) than collects taxes from own IT sector.
Most AI features are banned in EU - like self-drive on Tesla or Computer in Codex.
Needs to change.

People don't grasp the sheer speed and scale of Europe's decline.
This ๐ is an extraordinary number shared by Luis Vassy, director of Sciences Po (one of France's most famous schools) in this article: https://t.co/BQbkXb2kPl
He calculated that the EU is declining 3 times faster than the Qing dynasty at the height of China's century of humiliation.
Back then, it took China 50 years to drop from 30% of world GDP to 17%, whereas it took the EU just 17 years (from 2008 to 2025).
Insane ๐ข And, sadly, given the current direction and the EU's systematically suicidal policy choices (latest example: https://t.co/6EYJgdXVVo), it's just the beginning...
@USronaldcarter Saylor was the only buyer of BTC for a year. Now he stopped buying and is selling.
SpaceX IPO soon - everyone is selling everything they have low conviction in to raise cash for it
Degens are selling crypto to move cash to Polymarket to bet on World Cup.
@Teknium your biggest opportunity now is EU. In EU regulators stop CODEX from using Computer and Chrome etc. If you manage to bring that first - you gain massive market share. Hurry!

EU is really starting to throttle innovation. If you live in EU - you can not use most of the best features of AI. Your CODEX can not run Computer or Chrome, your iPhone runs limited AI, your Tesla will not do full self drive, etc
Think the biggest opportunity for the likes of Hermes and OpenClaw is to provide exactly these options for the 150mn+ EU rich market - you guys dont have to IPO, so prob dont care as much about the local regulators. Just build - plenty of users out there!

@AiroPrompts It is just like your โunlimited data planโ. If you watch netflix 24/7 and they start losing money on you - they just throttle you.
But initially every tech co goes through the usual โattract then extractโ cycle. We are in the attract phase.
