That was a first amendment case. They couldnt refuse service to people because they were gay, which they didn’t do. The case was about compelling speech (artwork, the design of the cake). In Hilton’s case they are outright refusing service. You bringing up the cake case is completely irrelevant 🤡
@TraceyA56869375@petercgonzalez@DarrigoMelanie They didn’t refuse them a cake, they refused the specifics of it. It was a first amendment case - they couldn’t compel speech (in that case, artwork they didn’t agree with). They could’ve still bought a cake on display. Here, Hilton outright refused service
@LePapillonBlu2 Tell me the difference between this and Obama invading Pakistan and murdering a leader (Bin Laden). Were you speaking out against Obama’s “illegal” actions then too?
@drivenbyboredom@njess@RoKhanna@matthewstoller When the illegitimate leader negatively impacts the lives of Americans, as what has happened. If everyday Americans weren’t impacted directly, I’d agree with you. However, that’s not the case
@bitsy_the_kitty@Holden_Culotta Not illegal for the US fam, precedent had been set and solidified through appeals. Can’t successfully prosecute them for that
@AOC Dude can’t you be a fucking human for ONCE? Everything he does is bad all the time even if our side did it, and everything we do is good all the time even if it’s what Trump does too. It’s so tiring and we know that you’re just full of shit
@ancerj@gideonrachman I mean arguably no, he was not democratically elected and has been an illegitimate president by Venezuela’s own standards. There was this whole thing with the election and the opposition leader who was in hiding
@jfhksar88@JDVance China already does this, in a way, with their illegal police departments within the US (like in NYC), that have been terrorizing those Chinese nationals (or Americans with family in China) who speak out against your dictator
@Kevin_Hitt@jbraunstein914@midquant@big_pedestrian The only reason she has that “wealth” is due to a self-interested law lol it should have never been a law and means she has benefited at the expense of others for decades. Grandma ain’t a saint 🤣
@svan81 @Truckerex55 @retardeddough @0hour1 Guess it depends on what you mean… how many have been on the force for 5 years vs how many are the pensions taken from the top performing years where they maxed out their overtime… also how many are detectives vs beat cops…
