A lot of people don’t lose relationships over not loving each other… They lose it because they don’t know how to handle themselves when things get hard.

Everybody wants connection, but not everybody has the emotional discipline to sustain it.

You cannot keep hurting people with your reactions and expect them to keep adjusting to your chaos.
You cannot lack communication, avoid necessary conversations, or shut down completely and still expect something meaningful to survive.

At some point, you have to grow up emotionally.
Learn how to:
– Pause instead of react
– Communicate, whether it’s through a call, a message, or a conversation in person
– Express yourself without tearing the other person down
– Stay, even when it’s uncomfortable, instead of running at the first sign of tension

Because problems do not destroy real relationships... The poor handling of those problems destroys them.

And time has shown me something…

Not every consequence shows up physically. Some sit with you… in your mind, in your conscience.

Those quiet moments when everything slows down, and you start to replay your decisions, seeing clearly the reasons you were warned, but chose to ignore. When your thoughts don’t rest, and your conscience won’t let you move on so easily.

That’s not punishment… that’s awareness.

So don’t just brush it off. Don’t silence it with distractions.

Face it. Learn from it. Grow from it.

Because the goal is not just to avoid consequences… but to become the kind of person who no longer creates them.
