Today I came with the 2nd question I often see around privacy:
"Does privacy mean our funds can get freeze privately?" 💀
Not really. Privacy and fund control are two different things. Privacy is about keeping sensitive information private, such as:
˃ balances
˃ transactions
˃ account activity
It doesn't automatically mean someone gets secret control over your funds.
For example, a stablecoin issuer can add freeze functionality on many different blockchains. That's a feature of the token or application, not the privacy technology itself. This is why it's important not to confuse privacy with control.
On Miden, privacy means keeping sensitive information hidden from the public.
Fund freezes, on the other hand, are rules built into a token, application, or institution.
They're not the same thing.
