Are you ready?! The long awaited Toccata hard fork is a major upgrade for Kaspa, scheduled for 30th June 2026. You can think of it as a level-up that transforms Kaspa from a high-speed POW payment network into a more powerful, versatile platform.

The Toccata fork marks a shift for $KAS from fast payments to programmable platform. Toccata introduces programmability, which allows developers to build complex applications directly on the Kaspa network. Via Covenants, an upgrade the Bitcoin community discusses since many years without any real steps forward, enables smart contract-like logic, meaning the network can now handle more than just simple coin transfers.

With Silverscript, Kaspa introduces a new compiler that makes it easier for devs to write the logic for these new programmable features. And it doesn't stop there! On top of that, the zk (zero-knowledge) infrastructure and the vProgs system are next on line to fully complete the shift to make Kaspa the ultimate layer for everything.

⚡ ​What does it mean for $KASBTC? ⚡

For us, it also marks a major shift for our HUB21 development initiative. With Toccata we're undergoing a transition from simple Telegram bots to more advanced developments, benefitting both KasBTC holders as well as the overall Kaspa space, as we're also building developments everyone can use.

Three developments are already in progress. One exclusively for the KasBTC community, one for the entire KRC721 NFT space and a third for the entire Kaspa fam. But all of them can benefit $KASBTC holders 👀

Add the new Kaspa Tip Bot to your groups for a more advanced experience:

— tip any user not just with any KRC20 token anymore but now you can tip Kaspa, all KRC20's and even all KRC721 NFTs

— you can even tip users that haven't connected to the new tip bot yet. The bot automatically creates a new wallet. Just connect in private to claim your tips!

All private keys are encrypted but remember that this is still only meant for tipping.

How to use:

In all Kaspa / KRC20 / KRC721 communities that use the new Tip Bot you simply quote reply to someone's comment with either:

— /tip kas (for a tip in Kaspa) and the bot asks for amount

— /tip TICKER (for example /tip kasbtc, the bot will ask for either KRC20 or KRC721)

That's it! As simple as our old tip bot but more advanced now.

Das gesamte Finanzsystem fühlt sich einfach falsch an. Du arbeitest hart, verdienst Geld und legst es beiseite, wirst aber durch die Inflation bestraft. Legst du das Geld an und verlierst es, hast du Pech. Legst du das Geld an und gewinnst, wird dir ein Teil weggenommen.

Geht es nur mir so oder fühlt es sich an, als müsste man in diesem System kontinuierlich gegen den Wind radeln, um überhaupt voranzukommen?

Und im Hinterkopf bleibt die permanente Sorge, dass selbst nach überwundenen Hürden, Jahren des Verzichts und konsequentem Vermögensaufbau plötzlich der Enteignungshammer zuschlägt und ein großer Teil des hart erarbeiteten Vermögens wieder genommen wird.

🏰 Kastlers — important update on v1.20.1

We're simplifying how Kastle handles accounts and addresses. Before v1.21.0 ships on May 20th, you need to do a quick one-time check to make sure no funds are left behind.

You need to act if:
✅ You've created additional accounts (index 1, 2, 3…) ✅ You've ever toggled Legacy Addresses on in Manage Accounts
✅ You imported an older wallet that may have funds on legacy addresses

What to do:
• Move any funds from secondary accounts to Account 0
• Tap ⚙️ gear in Manage Accounts → Advanced Settings → toggle "Switch to Legacy Wallet Addresses" ON
• Check every address, move anything you find to Account 0
• Toggle it back OFF when done

That's it. No re-import needed. Takes about 5 minutes.

If you've only ever used Account 0 with no legacy toggles — nothing to do.

After May 20th, legacy toggles are gone. Funds won't disappear but recovering them will require extra steps. Do it now while it's easy.

'kaskad-nuntius': latin for "messenger." A trusted bearer of news.

That's the name Anton @oxidique chose for @eliottmea's oracle on-chain repos, and it's literal: a permissionless, TEE-secured messenger that delivers verifiable prices on-chain.

☑️It's now open source. Code is public ahead of mainnet.

Under the hood: a Consolidated Order Book (COB) model. Instead of pulling a single feed or a volume-weighted average, Nuntius aggregates limit order books across venues and simulates cross-exchange arbitrage exhaustion. The midpoint is the fair value.

Direct consequence: spoofing or manipulating a single venue doesn't move the oracle. Manipulation cost scales with cross-venue liquidity, not with the cost of pushing one book. The harder a real price is to fake, the harder Nuntius is to fool.

Price computation runs inside a TEE: the operator can't tamper with the output. What you read on-chain is what the trusted environment signed.
