Most people do not deserve explanations. They just need to get a clear straightforward statement and leave the rest onto them. Speaking things up is our job but changing opinions/perspective is out of control. Explanation just feeds their ego than clearing situations most times.

It's all about maintaining authority over your emotions rather than completing blocking a certain "effect". What should be talked about is moderation and discernment than a complete stagnant stoic nature immune to any external influence. Better be a dead dog then.

I do not understand such quotes sometimes. For any normal human being it is natural to be affected/influenced by any statement made about them whether positive or negative. How does this directly equate to slave? In that sense everyone's a slave in some other twisted definitions.

It should be all about regulation and staying grounded in your identity and not letting anything sweep you off from your usual trajectory. Sometimes a praise serves as uplighting validation and can motivate a person and an insult can push them into overthinking spiral.

Saw the videos of FGM that's showing up on twitter trending topic currently and it's highly disturbing. Makes me wonder why society has to create a regressive practice for each and every normal thing. Reasons such a purity chastity hygiene etc are given without any solid base.

People are asking why she boarded an empty bus.

She was 16. It was raining. She was stranded. She made the only decision that seemed safe in that moment and two adult men chose to violate her for it.

Travelling alone is not consent. Being stranded is not consent. Making a mistake about which stop to get off at is not consent. Having a fight at home before leaving is not consent. None of these things are consent. Nothing is consent except consent.

The question being asked should not be why she boarded that bus. It should be why two grown men decided that a stranded teenager was an opportunity.

We keep auditing the girl’s choices and giving the rapists a pass.
