Michelle's series, Creatively Speaking, spanned over two decades. In 2015, The film was co-presented the film series βTell It Like It Is: Black Independents in NYC 1968-1986β with The Film Society of Lincoln Center, which was awarded the Film Heritage Award by the @NatSocFilmCrix
Michelle's company, KJM3 Entertainment Group, worked on distribution for major films; one of its first projects was βDaughters of the Dust.β Widely viewed as a masterpiece of Black independent cinema and have been the first feature film by a Black woman to have a wide release.
