#TRCA monitoring discovered this milksnake during a biological inventory of Mary's Lake. Snakes form a critical link in the food chain, keeping rodent populations in check. Remember to brake for snakes because they are commonly killed on roads. Learn more: https://t.co/PcMfdu44Yp

[Ontario Parks @OntarioParks]

Guess what kind of snake this is? #WorldSnakeDay

[Crystal Robertson @CrystalSnakes]

Happy #WorldSnakeDay! This is one of my favourite encounters, the Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake, Ontario's only venomous snake! I❤️🐍

Ever come across a turtle in the road and weren't sure what to do about it? We teamed up with @RosemaryMosco so next time you'll be ready and armed with knowledge!

[Toronto and Region Conservation Authority @TRCA_HQ]

#WildlifeWednesday A mink #frog! Even though #TRCA's monitoring team was listening for breeding birds, we heard the distinct mating call of the mink frog & captured this rare photo! This was only the second location where #TRCA has recorded this more northern species.

Many know his name, but not many know that Harrison Ford has been advocating for conservation and the environment for decades. Today, he spoke about the importance of protecting #OurNature and why Canada warms his heart. Thank you for supporting this important work. #NatureSummit
