@CodeTheDream A lot of news websites have paywalls now. So I try to find the ones that don't so I can share the news with others. YouTube is usually easiest for getting news in a succinct way for free. I limit my news consumption for mental wellness.

@CodeTheDream I would miss my family because we communicate a lot online. I also would miss YouTube 😁 I have experienced periods without internet and I substituted other communication methods (like letters). It made it very hard to look for work. A lot of businesses have gone paperless.

@CodeTheDream The way I feel it hasn't really changed except that I know how to do more things and I understand about how it all works.

@CodeTheDream It was early internet days, much simpler. I felt comfortable finding what I wanted but felt it wasn't accessibility friendly, lots of flashing lights, poor contrast, auto-playing animations/videos/sounds.

@CodeTheDream I think I was in my mid 20s when I got my own computer. My mom got me to behave by giving me computer time as a reward, but the computer was at her friend's house. I could only use it on the weekends. I got my first smart phone when I started college.

@choneyisland99 @BuzzFeed The responsibility should not be on the victim but the perpetrators. We should hold them accountable. Keep speaking out, saying it's not okay. Running away solves nothing. They will direct their vitriol at someone else. Then the number of people on reduces to the worst kinds.

If they decide not to reach for those standards, that's their choice. But we should not lower them. Not when they are part of basic human decency.

@CodeTheDream My mom is the one that introduced me to tech. I remember watcher her input commands into an old computer and being in awe. I loved how she utilized video games to teach the disabled. I admired how she learned new tech and it inspired me.
