CUPE has announced that they will return to work tomorrow, November 8. As a result, TLDSB schools and Board sites are open to students and staff tomorrow for in-person learning.

Ministry of Education (who is also responsible for Child Care) sent a memo out last week directing centres to deny school age children space during the school day.

@vangoesboom I travel from Pontypool to the schools daily with a school bus full of kids… the other drivers need to slow down, obey the traffic laws and get their eyes off their phone and on the road! So many people I see looking at their phones while driving that highway😡
Please be advised that, due to icy road conditions, busing to SCHOOLS in Peterborough City and County, Northumberland County, including Murray Centennial and Stockdale PS and Campbellford Schools are cancelled for the day. Busing to schools in Clarington will operate as normal.
Teachers will be available throughout the day to support continued learning opportunities. Students will find more details in their online classroom. If technology is an issue, parents should contact their child’s teacher.
Due to poor road conditions, all buses to schools in the City of Kawartha Lakes, Haliburton, and Muskoka have been cancelled for Thursday, February 17.
Schools are closed to students and remote learning will be offered to all students within the region.

@fordnation just call summer for school already! Many schools haven’t been upgraded and the kids will be miserable wearing a mask inside and outside in the heat of June. And Report cards are pretty much completed. My kids are done!!!
