@BuckCllr South Mimms is 21p/kWh until 8am. Sadly, the Superchargers there are limited to 71kW, but here’s the nice part: if you plug in before 8am, you’ll keep the 21p/kWh rate for your entire charging session. That’s a pretty nice move by Tesla.

South Mimms, UK. Had to change chargers 3 times before I finally got this one, and it’s still capped at 71 kW. The others were only charging at 21–30 kW. 🤦‍♂️

5 reasons NOT to get an EV.

1) You’ll have to charge your car while you sleep, and it doesn’t feel fair.

2) You’ll forget about fuel, fumes, engines and gears, meaning you’re “not a real man”.

3) Your commute will be too quiet and comfortable, you’ll be too relaxed, and not ready to work.

4) They are faster than an ICE car, you’ll be at work too early.

5) They come with modern tech and fully spec’d up, which you’re not used to with ICE vehicles.

@ianvogler @JayMitchinson @VW Never queued for a charger, and I’ve done over 40,000 miles in a year. Try the Tesla Supercharger network. You can see how many stalls are free before you arrive and exactly what each site is charging. The most I’ve ever paid at peak time was 41p/kWh.
