Pure conjecture of course and realise it is dangerous to speculate in this case but a bird strike on take off could damage an engine.

@tflyer85 Flew over my house at 2000ft normally 7000ft by this point engine sounded more like a turbo prop than a fan. Climbs to 4000ft and enters a holding pattern.

@RosieisaHolt Ms Holt, although your comment regarding getting the elderly to work has merit you miss the opportunity to engage the very young in this activity as well. It would prepare them for higher paid roles later on. After all they were quite happy up chimneys!
