A 5-star outfield play is one deemed by Statcast to be caught by 25% of MLB outfielders or fewer.

There were 2,688 5-star catch opportunities in the league in 2025. Only 192 of them were caught (7.1%).

Pete Crow-Armstrong caught NINETEEN five-star plays:
-He caught 59.4% of his opportunities (19-32)
-It's a Statcast record, the previous record was 12
-He made 10% of all the 5-star catches in the league
-No other OF has exceeded ten 5-star plays since 2017-
-With eight more, PCA will be the all-time leader (2016-)
