Ian Happ’s ABs, on top of his “I could care less” demeanor and comments, is really making him unwatchable. He’s just never won anything, ever. He also has never been a contributor in any meaningful way TO win anything. Look at his postseason stats.

@mitch_santini@JeffBode88@ChiSportsFanJoe People forget things so fast, lol. There was a very extended time where Heyward was an auto ground ball to second every time he luckily made contact with the ball.
I like having Kevin Alcántara develop by sitting on the bench rather than getting ABs. That's probably the best way to know whether he's going to be an answer in the future.
@mitch_santini I don’t understand why everyone is piling on Shota. I understand he was not good yesterday, but in 7/10 starts he has given up 2 runs or less. That is pretty good! You should theoretically win every one of those. I do understand the other 3 starts weren’t very good though.
@TheBlogfines Genuinely curious what your ideal outfield would be next year with 2 spaces theoretically opening up if you believe Alcantara is a trade chip.
$70 mil + annually right there. We can’t bring all of these guys back. It just doesn’t work well together. Too many of the same archetype of hitter.

@mitch_santini@PCA4FC Lmao, I agree with you. I am confused, however, why we are pulling these guys up just to pinch hit. I think we either need to commit to them getting some form of everyday ABs or keeping them down. Not really sure what the point of not starting them is.
