This evening begins the Jewish holiday of Shavuot, which marks when the Jews received the Torah at Mt. Sinai. It's also an agricultural festival timed around the wheat harvest.

The San Diego Black LGBTQ+ Coalition began as a program in 2015 supported by San Diego's LGBTQ+ serving organizations. In 2021, it was established as a volunteer-led nonprofit and now is a central hub for San Diego's LGBTQ+ Black life. #BHM
