Remember ideally your ground is already covered with residue which would help in swamp as well. The seed depth in that pic is determined by adj bottom of keel to skid distance.

@jasonmauck1@GerardBirkbeck@DawnEquipment Absolutely @jasonmauck1. Disturbance is greatly reduced. Angled discs create a lot of lifting action as he has shown. The jet can introduce whatever product itself and/or follow with a tine (doesn't lift soil) or reduced angle disc setup to minimize disturbance/blowout.

@GordSpeksnijder Hi Gord, excellent question. PTO currently to date (smaller test units). 1 0.008" orifice requires 12-16 hp to operate @ #60000psi. Depending if using hydraulic intensifiers or directly driven pump to create the pressure. Can be powered other ways/configurations as well.
FACT: #plantgreen is able to keep bio action going, keeping the soil covered and many more benefits. Hairpinning, down pressure, closing the trench, all become concerns

@ethanolcowboy So the common misconception or fear of a "false" trench bottom is negated entirely. The trench opening created for the seed itself is still created mechanically. Thanks for the questions #60000psi
@ethanolcowboy 2 yes we can and have used discs successfully in a retrofit scenario. We have also developed a tine based unit to work in conjunction with the #60000psi system well. Orifice is typically 0.008" (paper thin) therefore seeds depth placement are NOT effected by fluid jet cut.
@ethanolcowboy Hi Tom, in short no. It actually relieves compaction, a LOT of air is carried entrained in the stream which when enters the soils adds air to open up pores. The jet itself only has about 4 pounds of reaction force as a relatively low volume (therefore mass) is exiting the nozzle
