@JasperDLT From a practical standpoint, if you’re struggling to pay bills, there’s no reason to splurge at a nice restaurant or get a brand new car. A friend just went to Disney world but now has a go fund me to pay for an unexpected surgery for his pet. It doesn’t make cents pun intended.

@JasperDLT I think carpe diem is the problem. Everyone wants to live like the affluent but few people realize what it takes to get there. A few years of budgeting, eating at home, roadtrips instead of extravagant vacations, etc. can make a huge difference.
