Erian Rodriguez RHP (@NWFSCbaseball commit) is a must-watch for Worlds on Fri.
Smooth & easy velo; FB explodes, sitting 92-95 & rising, sharp SL & good feel for his CH at 83-86. Above-average 3-pitch mix. Huge name from @premier_sox.

‘21 Erian Rodriguez (GA) was sharp here today with 4Ks in 2 IP. Showed 91-93/94 with great command and got excellent bite to the upper-70s breaker; here’s an extended look at the stuff. #PGShowdown#PGDraft
@peterson_jared7@IndyHawk89@charmcitydeac@gabrielmbross @MiLBAdvocates Remember, if they take half slot at $250k, they still get taxed heavily on that $250k. So, while yes it's a decent chunk of money, they still have to be very wise about how it gets used.
@BarneyPhillip11 I am being real. I understand that he plays 1st, but I also understand that there's nobody at AA or AAA that's remotely ready to even fill that whole. Give me some names of guys you want to see replace Rizzo.
I keep seeing this discussion pop up, so let's start a thread. Why are some Cubs fans so eager to move on from Rizzo? Who are you going to replace him with if you move on from him as an Org? The 2022 Free Agent list isn't exactly poppin' for 1st basemen. #Cubs
@Walcrawl12@BarneyPhillip11 What happens if Rizzo ends up in the top 10 of that list by the end of the season? Basing 2020 + 2021 YTD isn't even a full season worth of ABs yet.
@Walcrawl12@BarneyPhillip11 WAR is just one component to look at, and playing more helps move it's needle. If you list 26, you're including guys that have a handful of starts at 1st as well. There are only 22 players that actually qualify at 1st.
@Walcrawl12@BarneyPhillip11 They have $70M on the books for next season, not accounting for Arb increases, or any extensions. Assuming you have a decent wave of talent come up in the next 3-4 years at a low cost, why not sign him even if it feels like a bit of an overpay?
