Washington State, Oregon, California, Reno, Las Vegas, Southern Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado should formally request federal decentralization to determine their own immigration policy. The other regions should follow suit. #DecentralizeTheUS#NewMap
This election is likely to be among the closest in recent history, by way of the Electoral College, or in swing state margins. Given the duopoly-aggravated division, wouldn’t it be better if politics were governed more by linked cities regionally tied together? #DecentralizeTheUS
Thank you Gloucester advocates for restoring our Pride crosswalk!
Fighting for marginalized communities even when the powerful want to steamroll you is what it’s all about.
Just the *threat* of protest was enough to reverse this decision. Think about that. Happy Pride!
@barbarismcrit I say incepting leftism is the best way electorally to move us where we want to go, but I view movement politics and universalist policies like M4A as more effective than electoralism overall to get us where we want to go. But that’s just my take. 2/2
@barbarismcrit As a left-libertarian (please see the Wikipedia article below) who finds most solidarity with socialists and communists, I think we have to incept leftism into the minds of USians because labels of leftism are unfortunately so toxic here. 1/2 https://t.co/AijLsv8zYI
Many online “leftists” seem to believe that the best way to destroy the imperial core is to replace it with a new core. This fundamentally misunderstands leftist principles. The goal is global working-class solidarity across national identities to seize the means of production.
The problem with MTG is that she shows no signs of moving left on economic policy. It makes everything she says about the working class ring incredibly hollow.
And if any part of it is not true, including @ruwaromman being misled for any reason, AOC should answer for that too. No more hiding for political expediency. We’re done with that.
This is helpful info, if true. @AOC still owes the left an apology, and I don’t care if it’s politically advantageous or not. The left movement we want should honor authenticity and humility. If you were told a lie and believed it, tell us and apologize for credulity. That’s all.
🎥 Drop Site asked Georgia State Rep. Ruwa Romman, who was recently endorsed by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) in her state senate race, whether she has spoken with AOC about her speech at the 2024 Democratic National Convention, where AOC said then-Vice President Kamala Harris was “working tirelessly to secure a cease-fire in Gaza.”
Attention has since returned to the remark among critics who viewed it as a betrayal of the anti-genocide movement, particularly after AOC recently criticized former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) over Greene’s claims of solidarity with Palestinians.
Romman, a Palestinian-American lawmaker from Georgia, emerged as a prominent figure in the Uncommitted movement during the 2024 DNC, where delegates pushed unsuccessfully for her to deliver a speech on Gaza from the convention stage.

I’m begging you to learn the right lesson from the Virginia court ruling and the Supreme Court ruling weakening the Voting Rights Act in Louisiana v. Callais:
Stop racing to the bottom on gerrymandering. It doesn’t work. Time to actually fight for fair maps in redistricting.
On its third attempt tonight, Marblehead Town Meeting approved an “MBTA Communities–compliant” district largely centered on the 125-year-old Tedesco Country Club, meeting 3A requirements on paper while all but assuring no new housing would be built.
This comment says it all.
A real anti-oligarchy, anti-Epstein class coalition will only work if it involves right-wingers who ostensibly care about those things moving left on economic issues.
Anything else would be superficial, hollow, and prone to immediate collapse.
In theory, AI is taking over jobs and doing the work on its own.
In practice, AI requires fewer and fewer employees who are squeezed to the limit for more and more “productivity” by training the AI, deploying the AI, monitoring the AI, bug-fixing the AI, and retraining the AI.
