I’m sure these comments will be a sh*tshow, please prove me wrong & show me how mature you all are 😅
From newest episode of my podcast: “How to Think Like a Scientist” now available on all podcast platforms & YT
Not everyone has time to do a scientific degree & become a scientist but there are some fundamental skills you can learn & easily implement in order to be able to understand when claims are legit vs. BS
Unfortunately, science has been shunned for a long time. Think about the portrayal of science in movies & TV: it’s always people who either care so much about the research that they put people in danger pressing the boundaries of research or they are cruel individuals who don’t care about the suffering they make people go through to get data & money
The reality is most scientists aren’t like this. Yes there are some bad apples in the bunch, but as a whole, the scientific community has made our lives better. Life expectancy after age 10 (this gets rid of numbers confounded by infant & childhood mortality) has increased ~35 years in the last 150 years largely due to scientific advances
But C0V1D did a number on the science. Normally when scientists have a topic they want answers to, they do studies & debates for decades before they come to a consensus & share theirl findings with the public. With C0V1D however, we were trying to build a ship at the same time we were trying to sail a ship. It is TOTALLY normal to have conflicting research outcomes during the discovery process. Hell, not every study shows that smoking increases cancer risk, but we accept that smoking increases cancer risk as a fact due to the overwhelming amount of evidence
Unfortunately, the public had a front row seat to watching this entire process play out in real time. To make things worse, everything got politicized & this lead to discourse that was not productive & a questioning of all scientific research & increased distrust in the science. Sadly, the scientific method is PERFECT, but it’s done by people who are flawed. That is why replication is the core of all scientific research
@Ahmed_hassan_za@YE_abutaleb Blah blah blah if they keep shooting like that in the photo you posted they’ll be hilariously relegated in the history books as wanting death too much because that is some shit shooting
💥 POPPED LOOSE MOTHERFUCKER!
KNOCKED LOOSE and POPPY played their Grammy-nominated collab "Suffocate" on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' last night amid fire and rain.
If it is wrong in hindsight but justified at that moment, the house wins. This is the price paid to live in a free but fallible society where anyone can kill someone instantaneously. It sucks but it’s the best we have. Any minutia is worked out further in later rulings in court.
Starting my go to thread of officer involved shootings I can point to to educate people not trained in deadly force tactics. This includes science, reasonableness, and is it justified questions courts have determined as the standard for these scenarios.
In hindsight, the officer could be wrong. But you can’t judge that moment without putting trained thought into the situation and determining if it was reasonable at that very moment. That would be unfair to someone reacting to training on a job like this.

Pretty decent breakdown. You can tell its bump stock firing throughout. Around 1100 rounds fired
@TryHardGasTank@unkemp7 @CallMeDoctaEvil @Iraqveteran8888 That’s not the only crime scene photo. Find me a source that says 3000 rounds. There was a massive meticulous investigation. Tons of footage of him moving tons of bags in and out. There are fucking psychos in this world, and not all need a reason.
@TryHardGasTank@unkemp7 @CallMeDoctaEvil @Iraqveteran8888 Why change mags when you have many, many guns? Have you seen the full list and amount of ammo he had? Drop the tinfoil for a minute and think
