I have great respect for Atlético. They are a serious club with a clear identity. Diego Simeone has built something strong there for many years. A club has the right to protect its assets, especially a player under contract until 2030 with a very high release clause. That is legitimate. Dignity matters in football.

At the same time, we must look at the player. Julián is an intelligent footballer. He is not just a goalscorer. He presses, he links play, he occupies spaces, he understands timing. A player like that wants to feel important, to play in a way that matches how he sees the game, and to chase the dream he has spoken about publicly.

When a player of that quality says a transfer would be best for everyone, you cannot ignore it. You can disagree with the timing or the way it was said, but the feeling exists. Keeping an unhappy player rarely benefits anyone in the long run — not the club, not the dressing room, not the supporter who wants to see commitment every week.
