@megsbeach@karlykingsley Why is it so bad for charity to be religiously based. A religion that teaches caring for those in need isn't that a good thing?
@AnnieForTruth Apply this logic to your own personal home let anyone come unvetted.
If you really believe what you say you will post you address and say everyone is welcome to come and stay
@Cheezydork74 One is imposing an ideology the other is trying to protect and keep kids safe.
People are only saying that schools teachers shouldn't be able to push their individual ideals on children during school.
@megsbeach@karlykingsley Agree but you have to define what caring for people looks like and needs.
Those definitions should come from the person providing the assistance. When the government does it they are using their definitions and others money.
Charity should be personal not governmental.
@ThatPHCBoy Neither one of these statements are true
People have bodies that make it harder or easier to gain/loss weight but anyone can do either depending on what/how much you eat and exercise.
Show me a picture of someone who starved to death and was still fat.
@elonmusk Really disappointed that you left doge. Understand why you had to but was really optimistic you would be able to make a meaningful change in government spending and get the country on a sustainable path.
Thankful that the conversation was brought to the publics attention
@dirk_hoekstra@SpencerHakimian There have been tariffs in place by many countries for years.
Don't you think everyone would be better if every country would reduce their tariffs to near zero?
Agree or disagree with his approach but he is trying to lower the tariff burden on products coming from the US.
@meljomur@ninaturner Because it increases unemployment and destroys small businesses.
You should be paid based on a percentage of the value your skills return to the business.
If you want people to be paid more than focus on creating so many jobs there aren't enough people to fill them.
@ninaturner Imagine you are paying people $50 an hour and they make one shirt per hour but you can only sell them for $40 how do you make up the difference in the $10 per hour you are losing.
@SilverARTicfox @BraddrofliT Reduction in taxes will always disproportionately benefit the people who pay the most taxes. Regardless reductions benefit everyone who pays more in taxes than they receive back in services.
