장밍보를 처음 만났을 때, 싱줘후이는 그가 수다쟁이라고 느꼈다. 두 사람은 첫 대본 리딩에서 처음 만났다.

"그가 먼저 다가와 '리딩이 끝나면 방에 가서 같이 대사를 맞춰봐요.'라고 말했어요."

싱줘후이는 당시를 떠올렸다. 방으로 돌아간 뒤 장밍보는 먼저 자기소개를 하고 자신의 취미와 관심사에 대해 이야기했다.

"저도 노는 걸 좋아하는 사람이에요. 공통된 취미가 있다는 걸 알고 나니 금세 통했고, 자연스럽게 친해졌어요."

싱줘후이는 장밍보가 먼저 다가와 준 것에 감사했다고 말했다.

장밍보는 싱줘후이를 "자기만의 생각이 있는 성숙한 배우"라고 표현했다. 현장에서 두 사람은 끊임없이 의견을 주고받으며 연기를 만들어 갔다.

"제가 가장 걱정했던 건 서로 각자 연기만 하는 거였어요. 당신은 당신 연기, 저는 제 연기만 하는 상황이요."

장밍보는 싱줘후이의 포용에 감사했다. 두 사람의 맞대결 장면은 대부분 루광밍이 조금씩 상대를 시험하고 탐색해 나가는 과정이었다.

"저는 계속 그의 경계선을 건드리며 마음껏 시도해 봤어요."
장밍보가 어떤 신호를 보내든, 빠르든 느리든 싱줘후이는 모두 받아냈다.

싱줘후이는 다소 아쉬운 듯 말했다.

"준비할 시간이 조금 부족했던 것 같아요. 조금만 더 길었으면 더 좋았을 것 같습니다."

시즌1 마지막 장면은 장밍보에게 가장 큰 아쉬움으로 남았다. 이 장면은 루광밍이 지금까지 해 온 모든 일이 결국 복수를 위한 것이었음을 시청자에게 드러내는 장면이다.

"셰자화가 찾아왔을 때 루광밍은 굉장히 경계하고 있었어요. 누군가 자신의 거처를 알고 있다는 건 있을 수 없는 일이니까요."

그런 심리 상태로 문을 열어 셰자화를 마주했던 만큼, 장밍보는 지금도 더 좋은 반응을 보여줄 수 있었을 것 같다는 아쉬움이 남는다고 했다.

"시즌1 마지막 장면은 결국 우리 두 사람의 모습으로 끝났잖아요. 저는 생각이 많은 편이에요. 그것도 제가 앞으로 더 성장해야 할 부분이라고 생각합니다. 앞으로 촬영할 때는 조금 더 편안한 마음으로 연기에 임하고 싶어요."

그는 웃으며 "아직은 경험이 조금 부족한 것 같다"고 덧붙였다.
