In honour of #InternationalWomensDay, let's take a look back at the brave Cumbrian suffragists who fought for women's rights at the 1910 demonstration in London.
Catherine Marshall, a central figure in the movement, proudly marched under the NUWSS Carlisle banner.
But, not everyone was on board with granting women the right to vote. But these women persisted, paving the way for future generations of empowered and unstoppable women.
📣Temporary disruption to some of our digital services tomorrow (Thursday 9 March).
Self issue machines, BorrowBox, Libby, Press Reader, NetLoan and the automated renewal line will be unavailable due to a planned upgrade.
We've been ‘fine free’ for nearly two years!
