We enjoyed the talk, in this unique location, so much that we bought a copy! The pier train rumbled into the station ABOVE US! 🚃🚃 and there's a museum, too.

WIE (Where in Essex?). No. 42 of 2024.
Could be in today's Essex OR the county pre-1965.
What/Where?
Reckon really easy again.
Answer, Monday just after 9.00am.
An early and still active example of radical Essex in action: classic history with pictures by keen researchers with the great gift for presenting with interest and accuracy. Wholly engaging!
A great place to visit, admire the huge underground concrete shell, marvel at the shiny tungsten bars built into the concrete to protect against an EMP, see what the UK can do even when technically bankrupt!
This day October 1st 1952, (probably) construction began on a ‘Secret Nuclear Bunker’ at Kelvedon Hatch. It was top secret. Built on land compulsorily purchased from the Kelvedon Hatch farm of Jim Parrish just off the A128, between Brentwood and Ongar. Today it’s less secret.

Great speaker; great location; great subject. Learn lessons from the past to make a better future!
Highly recommended for people who want to keep their feet on the ground whilst building the community and having refreshments too.
