At Cunningham's Law Review we're taking a chronological journey through the last 100 years of popular music from the 1920s to now, one year at a time, in order.
@JessxDesign REI has $715,911,000 in cash and cash equivalents on hand as of their most recent published and audited 2020 reports. https://t.co/SmqFM5uN9y
That's up 450+ mil since 2018 despite a retail crisis in other places.
The same people that crap on Ariana Grande for having a chorus that says fuck me til the daylight will, in the same voice wax nostalgic for Prince who had the line 'Lets get to rammin'' in one of his choruses.
Miss You Much by Janet Jackson might be the best pop song that is and ever will be. It's been 30 years and Rhythm Nation in general is still fantastic.
@SLOTHRUST is probably putting out the most textured, earnest, and incredibly seductive music out of anybody right now. Their September album kills in all the good ways. Like cigarette smoke, Slothrust is cool and will be ambivalent about the harm you let yourself do to you.
@taphilips @julianahatfield It's like watching an alien who learned to cry from videos... because it's a sociopath who learned to cry from watching others do it.
@BrennaEhrlich Working as a social media manager for publication would be a great gig. They have an ACTUAL editorial calendar to reference, not just a place where people estimate things going on about that time.
One of the funniest people #SNL ever produced is gone, but will never be forgotten. I've spent many an hour on YouTube over the years enjoying all the characters he gave us. In a word: HILARIOUS.🤣Thanks for a lifetime of laughs @normmacdonald. #RIP 💔
@RAtheRuggedMan Say what you will, but that's a crowd that knows how to have a good time and doesn't need approval to do it.
Now that tattoos, piercings, and mohawks are normal and even basic, this is where the punk mindset lives.
I wonder if there's a high-powered lawyer somewhere in the pic
has got to be more personal right? It leaves me with the feeling that the commentary unintentionally ends up being a satire of itself by presenting a pseudo-Pure Heroine w/o the magic of the original. Hey, this one has better press narrative and makes you feel smart though. (3/3)
New Lorde album is good, but not great. A couple songs in I was trying to figure out what was missing. It's commentary on California wellness-culture, but compared to Pure Heroine (brilliant), this takes a bird's eye view and offers less personality. That offers little room (1/3)
for introspection, replacing it with (still accurate) social critique. So then you replace the production sound with "stripped-down" acoustic guitar and you get the new album trying to replace private introspection with the appearance of it. Anything you say w/ less effects (2/3)
You’ll never be this young again
You’ll only get older, watching yourself decay falter & sag until those who you thought loved you pack you into a roach infested nursing home where you’ll be packed nuts to butts up against the other living corpses before you die alone
Eat Arby’s
@BrennaEhrlich Even worse, the vet would ask Shaggy about how much Scooby - a Great Dane - eats, and Shaggy would answer, like four or five treats a day and no other food in particular. But also Shaggy gets Scooby high so you gotta assume he's not the greatest dog owner in history.
@maryhoulie The future will look back at this time, as the time where you could hire a peacock assassin on Craigslist. The wild west is now.

@maryhoulie I feel like Craigslist is a unicorn and we're so unappreciative of it. Once it's gone, it's something we'll look back on one day as a wonderous internet thing that should've never been and was replaced by a worse version you pay for. It's a remnant of the OG internet connections.
@RAtheRuggedMan Dude having more kids is like building a management structure at a big corporation. You're the CEO still dealing with the new employees at this point. You gotta get some middle management in there and that's more kids.
@SillyP4nda@DougDeMuro@carsandbids Because LS Swap The World and screw what other people think about your car that they aren't driving.
I just saw a Defender LS Swap on Reddit. They know it's sacrilege so they called it the "Offender." Gotta love it.
@BrennaEhrlich It's a much-anticipated event that speaks to the general acceptance of whatever-the-hell-people-are-using-is-probably-right-ism of it all. But that's just my analyzation.
