Today’s CRA payment was basically a top-up of the GST credits for the 2025/2026 year, which was calculated based on your 2024 return. Half of whatever you were entitled to for that period is what you should have received.

So if you weren’t getting GST credits from July 2025 to June 2026, you weren’t getting any today.
