We're proud to be displaying this 17th century sabre belonging to Hetman Mazepa in the Tower of London until the 3rd August, in collaboration with @UkraineWow .
The sabre is inscribed 'All my hope I put in you', reflecting the strength and resilience of the Ukrainian people in the face of tyranny.

@PizzaExpress I worry about your marketing dept - calling a downgrade ‘a delicious upgrade’ is poor. It isn’t an upgrade for those receiving the email, who are loyal customers. I hope that your pizzas don’t get a ‘delicious upgrade too’ or it’ll mean 1/2 the toppings 🙄
What an amazing artwork this is! ‘Sissy’s helmet’ by Bill Radford and the fabulous Grayson Perry @Alan_Measles . I would love to see it alongside the horned helmet in @Royal_Armouries
This Saturday we'll be listing a group of hand signed, original, wartime posters by the great Abram Games, as part of our new Protest & Propaganda Posters newsletter and instore show. These posters come direct from the Games Estate and are in excellent condition. Includes the very rare Double Crown version of 'Salute the Soldier' and 'Army. The Worthwhile Job' (in this critic's view, Games' best wartime poster)

The Royal Armouries stamp set showcases treasures from one of the world’s greatest collections of arms and armour.
This fabulous little chap with his wonderful moustache has been on display @Royal_Armouries Tower of London for over 220 years. However, we are unsure of his origins. Could he be from a German clock? This week he was lightly dusted as part of our Tower Spring Clean 🧹
Don't miss 'Inside the Tower' on @channel5tv19214 tonight at 8pm, where our Keeper of the Tower Armouries, Emma Mawdsley, will be talking all things Henry VIII at the @TowerOfLondon
This iconic armour was loaned to the @NPGLondon over the summer, allowing us a rare close up look.

Today, this lovely painting by David Wilkie Wynfield of the arrest of Anne Boleyn went on display @Royal_Armouries @TowerOfLondon. The setting for this scene was a room @hevercastle but Anne was enjoying a tennis match at Greenwich when she was arrested.
Times have changed since you could ‘try out’ the execution block for size @TowerOfLondon! A new series of Channel 5’s ‘Inside the Tower’ starts tomorrow, featuring some chilling objects in @Royal_Armouries collection in the White Tower
From one royal palace to another - the Grinling Gibbons horse in @Royal_Armouries returns from its summer holiday in @CVersailles next week. It will be lovely to have him back in the Tower of London.
A 4-year reminder came up on another digital platform today - Happy Birthday @CraftyCurator & @museum_owl. Even a global pandemic didn’t prevent us curators from celebrating 🎉
It is great when museums lend to each other and you can examine works in a different context. The @MuseeLouvre borrowed Henry VIII’s horned helmet by Konrad Seusenhofer from @Royal_Armouries & also this 16th century study of a jester carrying similar spectacles 🤓
Proud mum today - watching my eldest stand guard at the Cenotaph with his school CCF. The War Widows’ Association parade is always very moving. We Will Remember Them #Remembrance
@ClaudeStarling Great idea, Claude. But, unfortunately, it is beyond repair. We bought and fitted the last drive belt available for this model and it snapped after 30 mins of use ☹️. No more spares available.
My ancient Electrolux floor polisher died today after over 5 decades of faithful use. I can’t say that I ever looked at my mother like this when she used it though #DomesticBliss
