He gives the bear an affectionate squeeze, pulling those covers up over the pair. Making it that little bit cosier.
"You know, I have met Valhir, once. In the place where gods dwell. But, it would likely be best if I keep quiet, and... Stick to the customs."
Another squeeze.
Nasus nuzzles the bear right back, a low rumble emanating from his chest. Hmm. A jackal that purrs.
"I know only what is scribed within texts. Tales noted down from travelers moving through Shurima. The tenets of the faith. But I am sure you can teach me all I must know."
--
"I'm sure he'd be happy to meet you. Although, I do have to ask... How familiar are you with the worship of Valhir? It is quite an important facet of our Tribe."
He said after that little kiss, pulling him even closer, before nuzzling him ever so gently.
"And I will be with you. I ought to thank him for setting your path to cross with mine."
He rears his head, gazing into Bjarke's eyes, before placing a gentle kiss upon the bear's maw.
"Not even the stars could have predicted this... But, for once, I am glad for that."
Nasus' ears flick as he listens to Bjarke speak. Valdihr. The Winter's Claw. All names that had found their way into his archive over the centuries. They now seemed so real.
He snickers in response, pulling the bear in close. Nestling into that cuddly warmth.
----
The jackal lets out a contented sigh. Pressing his forehead into Bjarke's. He had come a long way since the bear first met him - he had grown very affectionate.
"Very well."
He huffs again, cracking a soft smile at the bear.
"I will follow you anywhere, love."
"Well, we still got about two days of traveling before we reach my tribe."
He said with a little chuckle, tilting his head down to press his forehead right against Nasus. All while holding his hand softly.
"Perhaps three or four. Might be a good idea to pass by Winter's claw."
"Hmmph..."
He leans into that caress, his eyes shut as he relishes such a tender moment. They slowly open, locking with Bjarke's as they glow softly in the halflight.
"You did... But I am undeterred."
His own hand comes up, locking with Bjarke's. "I wish to see your home."
"I did warn you the northern parts of Freljord were cold, haha."
He said with a little chuckle, his hand gently caressing along Nasus' head. Looking right into his eyes, smiling ever so gently.
"It's only gonna get worse, the further we go, sweetheart."
Nasus lets out a sigh of relief as Bjarke embraces him, settling into that fluffy bear chest. Claws clinging to his back.
"All those years under desert nights... None of them could possibly have prepared him for this."
He beams at Bjarke. Glad to hold his bear in his arms.
The bear's lips curled into a little smile, as he warped his arms around Nasus's neck, just pulling him closer until the Canine's head was resting against that warm, fluffy bear chest.
"Don't want you to get sick from coldness, sweetheart."
The jackal simply stands, watching the goat-wolf have his outburst.
He lets the silence hang for a moment, punctuated only by the desert wind.
"You look rather warm."
He asks in a quizzical tone, gaze wandering away from the creature, staring off into the distance.
"Fascinating..."
His attention returns, an inquisitive look on his face.
"I know not of what you speak, nor you of what I speak. It seems we are... Of different worlds."
Nasus' gaze wandered over the abomination. Canine, yet goat-like features. Well dressed, if a tad different from Nasus' own comparatively minimalist attire.
His other hand comes to rest against the shaft of his halberd, studying Warwick intently. Eyes narrowing.
"Polaris?">
- Nasus likely had already met was his attire: This abomination of nature was rather fancy, albeit with a faintly rustic style.
"I am-or was- the Polaris' will. I protected her lands and punished those that earned her ire. But no more."
The jackal's eyes glowed with colours reminiscent of winter - but his coat, his attire, was anything but.
Maybe he'd suit a festive look sometimes.
He offers a light shrug, planting the haft of his halberd in the ground.
"... No. And what of you, wolf? What are you?"
The immortal’s archaic fashion did not escape Warwick’s notice. Either there was truth to his words, or he simply possessed a dreadfully outdated sense of style.
He was mildly annoyed, though: by the chuckle, and by Nasus’s cryptic initial response.
"There. Was that so hard?"
The jackal laughs. The beast's blunt response seemed to tickle him.
"A little counterintuitive."
He tilts his head, fixing his shendyt as he does.
"I was a man. Then, I became something... More. Immortal. Ascended."
Looks back at Warwick.
"It was not without its price."
An entirely useless answer, from the beast's viewpoint. His eyes narrow- It was on him, he wasn't clear with his question.
A huff parts his maw.
"If you're that sad, just lay down and die."
A wistful sigh.
"These are old hands. They've seen a few things over the years.
And I know a forgemaster would no doubt prefer them to soft ones."
A playful chuckle.
