Considering the microbiome and how it may be transmitted during childbirth, no diff in #IBD whether vaginal or C-section. Hypothesize that changes in the microbiome that occur LATER may predispose to subsequent IBD. (Antibiotics? Infections?)
At our monthly @UChicagoIBD Telehealth, our new fellow Dr. Ari Halper-Stromberg presented a case of renal transplant and de novo #IBD. Interesting also that tofacitinib has been used for post transplant anti-rejection! Can be used for both problems.
