I’M SORRY, BUT THE ANGEL REESE REBOUNDING PROPAGANDA HAS BECOME HILARIOUS.🏀🏀🏀
I have NEVER seen basketball media throw a parade every time somebody grabs a rebound like this.
Yes, Angel Reese is a phenomenal rebounder. WE GET IT.
But are we evaluating basketball players or handing out MVP trophies at a rebounding clinic?
She just grabbed a WNBA-record 26 rebounds and scored 11 POINTS. She’s shooting 43.7% as a FRONTCOURT PLAYER and 18% FROM THREE.
And somehow every discussion about the glaring holes in her offensive game gets answered with:
“BUT LOOK AT THE REBOUNDS!!!” 😭😭😭
Dennis Rodman was a rebounding psychopath too.
You know what else Rodman was?
2× DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR.
7× FIRST-TEAM ALL-DEFENSE.
5× NBA CHAMPION.
THAT is what an elite specialist with an all-time résumé looks like.
Angel Reese can miss at the rim, grab the rebound, miss again, grab another rebound, and somehow the conversation becomes “LOOK! ANOTHER DOUBLE-DOUBLE!” 😂
At some point we have to stop confusing being historically great at ONE basketball skill with being a historically great basketball PLAYER.
Celebrate the rebounding record. She earned it.
But stop using rebounds like they’re a cheat code that makes every other flaw disappear.
BASKETBALL HAS MORE THAN ONE STATISTIC. #wnba #media #angelreese #mebounds
Caitlin Clark has gone to the free-throw line exactly 4 times (excluding 1 tech) over the last 12 quarters (3 games) of play.
She has been treated like trash by the league, media, refs, and it’s players — It must stop.
I was appalled by what happened during the Indiana Fever game last night.
Chicago's Natasha Cloud threatened former NBA player and future WNBA first-round pick Enes Kanter.
There is simply no place for this type of woman-on-woman violence in our society and it needs to stop.
