The Rowan tree is well known for its use as a potent charm against fairies and magic 🌳🪄

Known as 'caorthann' in Irish, it is believed that carrying a stick of Rowan will allow a person to enter the domain of the fairies and walk freely there unscathed ✨

In one tale a man carrying a green stick of Rowan wood, enters a stone fairy circle and manages to steal the hidden treasure within without coming to the attention of the fairy folk residing there ...escaping at leisure with his ill gotten gains 🍒🏆

Spotted great egrets through a spyglass in the nature reserve "Het Zwanenwater" in North Holland, the Netherlands! 🐦‍⬛✨️

This is at the smaller of the two here situated largest dune lakes in all of west Europe!
