Testing technology in a lab is one thing. Proving it works in an active city is another.

Curiosity Lab gives companies access to real smart city infrastructure, from connected mobility systems to edge computing and secure connected systems, to deploy and validate emerging technology under real-world conditions. If you're building something that needs a genuine environment to prove itself, not a simulated one, Curiosity Lab is built for that work.

Exciting news from Brno, Czech Republic. 🌍

Curiosity Lab signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the MSV Engineering Trade Fair with BVV Living Lab Brno, Czech Business Incubator of Atlanta, the City of Brno and BVV Trade Fairs Brno, creating a transatlantic innovation corridor between Peachtree Corners and Brno.

What does that mean? Companies can now validate emerging technologies in a real U.S. smart city environment and carry that work across the Atlantic into the Czech and European markets, with trusted partners supporting them every step of the way.

Two years of relationship-building brought us to this moment, and we could not be more excited about what comes next!

Curiosity Lab isn't a company that happened to land in @PtreeCorners. It's the city's own bet on the future.

Built as a living laboratory for real-world technology deployment, Curiosity Lab operates in an active community rather than a closed research campus. Companies work directly with the city to pilot and validate new technology under real conditions and residents feel the results through stronger infrastructure, safer mobility and better connectivity.

Curiosity Lab joined the Liguria-Gwinnett Innovation and Business Exchange, welcoming a delegation from the Liguria region of Italy hosted by Gwinnett County and the Gwinnett Chamber. Seth Yurman shared how Curiosity Lab supports real-world technology deployments and helps companies find their footing in the U.S. market, and the conversations that followed around innovation, logistics and international collaboration were exactly the kind we love being a part of.

Thank you to @GwinnettGov and the Gwinnett Chamber for making it happen.

T-Mobile has been a founding partner at Curiosity Lab from day one, helping shape the collaborative ecosystem that exists here today.

Program Director Tiana McNeil shares how that partnership has taken shape across the ecosystem, from intelligent transportation systems work with NXGO to using Curiosity Lab’s sandbox environment and public road corridor to integrate new technology and build AI layers on top of it.

For Tiana, bringing people with different backgrounds and areas of expertise together to test, learn and build alongside one another is what makes Curiosity Lab unique.

Curiosity Lab is welcoming MerlinTPS to our deployment program for a milestone worth celebrating. This is their first field deployment of terrestrial positioning and timing technology and it is happening right here at the Innovation Center.

MerlinTPS builds positioning and timing technology designed to work when GPS cannot. They are already part of our community as a member company at Curiosity Lab, and now the ecosystem is giving them the infrastructure and real-world environment to take their technology from development into the field.

Curiosity Lab just deployed LEOTEK's Interlux AI Traffic Signal System at the intersection of Technology Pkwy and Innovation Dr in Peachtree Corners, combining radar, computer vision and edge AI to give the intersection its own intelligence in real time. Not on a test track. On a real city street.

Physical infrastructure is becoming an intelligence layer for cities, and this deployment is a step toward understanding what that actually looks like in the real world.

Curiosity Lab is turning 7! 🎂 On September 11, 2019, the @PtreeCorners launched Curiosity Lab as a living laboratory where connected mobility, infrastructure, logistics and other emerging technologies could be built, tested and brought to life in an active city.

Seven years later, that mission still drives everything we do. Today, Curiosity Lab supports work across four core sectors, connected and autonomous mobility, connected infrastructure and edge systems, intelligent logistics and last-mile systems and secure and connected systems, all powered by robotics, connectivity and AI. More than a testbed, Curiosity Lab has become a collaboration hub that helps our members move ideas from concept to city-scale impact.

Thank you to every member and partner who has been part of this journey. Here's to the next seven years and many more!
