Remove green card ban #pp10014
Tell DoS to process the cases, ban doesn't allow them to stop processing the cases which they have unlawfully been doing for 1 yr
Today, the Biden Administration fulfilled its campaign promise to remove xenophobic immigration bans and to recognize the contributions immigrants make to our economy. Thank you, @JoeBiden.
Revoking PP 10014 was only step 1. Per government filing in #JacobvBiden, 473,000 documentarily qualified family-based immigrant visa applicants are in that backlog.
Biden admin will need to take ambitious measures to clear out that backlog in his first term.
So he was asked about immigration and it led to him oddly to ramble about China for 2 minutes. Including the claim we should be the “spokesperson for human rights,” whatever the hell that means. I’m frustrated.
As so many separated people spend their Valentine's Day tomorrow virtually with video calls or phone calls because of Trump's unlawful proclamations, now is the time to show compassion, rescind #PP10014 and reunite #500kSeparatedFamilies !!
@POTUS@ABlinken
The @StateDept workforce- esp consulate staff- deserve our appreciation. But what they really need from @SecBlinken is an increase in consulate staffing. They’re buried in biggest visa backlog in history with no ambitious plan to give them relief.
Trump’s visa bans MUST be rescinded before thousands of Black and African immigrants lose their diversity visas – FOREVER. Tell #POTUS to end PP 10014 & 10052. #Act4BlackImms
@curtisatlaw@JoeBiden@andersoncooper Waited 16 years for our case to become current and 15 days before interview the consulate cancelled the appointment, after that ban #PP10014 happened and now my child is going to age-out from CSPA because he won't be able to fulfill "seek to acquire" criteria within 1 year
@immlawACHall F2B, F3, F4 (Philippines): We waited 10 to 20 years for our PD to become current. We processed our papers LEGALLY. Our parents paid taxes for how many years. Let us reunite with our family. 10 to 20 yrs of waiting is too much for LEGAL IMMIGRANTS #500kseparatedfamilies#stopban
Terrific story by @MHackman of @WSJ talking about #PP10052 and #PP10014 and asking why @joebiden is not getting rid of this anti-immigrant piece of executive malpractice.
