JANUARY — THE MONTH OF JANUS 🔱

January comes from the Latin Ianuarius — “the month of Janus.”
Janus is the god of new beginnings and old endings, the god of doors, portals, transitions, the past and the future. January is his month.

Janus is depicted with two faces:
one looking back into the past,
the other looking forward into the future.

He closes some doors and opens others at the same time.
