One of the main reasons why Japanese artists hate reposts is because of their copyright laws. Fanarts and doujin events are only allowed to exist because the companies/creators purposely turn a blind eye on it out of kindness and just treat it as a way to promote their series.

@Trungles For me it's that algorithm stuff. I engage with beloved creators' content to hopefully get their stuff seen more. I can't afford to buy every artist's that I love stuff but I can afford to shower them with compliments or try to cheer them up.
