Question for bun parents- You notice your bun is unwell (showing typical signs of statis) and the vets are closed. Do you self diagnose and prescribe medicine from your home bun-pharmacy or wait til the morning when the vets are open?

@followthewabbit This is another good point. The approaching pet might by friendly, but if they’re were to get bitten or scratched by the animal they’re approaching, the other owner would be the first to complain!

Polite reminder- if someone is at the vets with bunnies in a carrier, please don’t let your dog come and sniff the carrier. Also, if the owner asks you politely to move your dog away because the bunnies are getting nervous, please don’t say “No, it’s okay- he’s friendly!” 😒

@mrsfrennall I like that! 😂 It just frustrates me as I will ALWAYS ask another owner if I can say hello to their pet. I thought it was common courtesy! 🤷🏼‍♀️

@alisonblair30 Luckily I had my mask on so they couldn’t see me scowling 😂 the worst part was it was stood outside the vets (as they were limiting the numbers inside) and I was holding them up off the floor. Clearly an indication I didn’t want other animals near them!

To clarify- I’m an ‘all animal’ person. I love all animals and I’m sure that the dog was probably very friendly. However- my bunnies don’t know that! Please respect the wishes of the owner. I know my bunnies are nervous just as much as you know your dog is friendly!

Allowed for traffic and there was none. Every traffic light was green. We are half an hour early for our appointment! 🙄😂
