Yours Truly Curmudgeons recently dedicated an episode to counting down our selections for the 30 greatest cover songs of all time. Co-host Arturo Andrade had a lot to say about Oasis's take on "Cum on Feel the Noize." A thread/1.
@JWeinbachNBA More likely: Giannis to Minn, Gobert to Atlanta, Daniels/Randle to MIL, Turner/Kispert to CHI and at least four picks to MIL, including the #8 and #15 picks in this draft.
@hiattb The world is basically divided now into people who only want to hear the music and see the performer and people who only want to see the drug-addicted child abuser. We may never get a holistic treatment of Michael...
@hiattb Hadn't thought of John Spencer as a compare for 3D Country. Good call. Me personally, I hear a lot of Todd Rundgren and ELO and Bob Weir and just a fascinatingly odd blend of '70s smartboy classic rock.
@hiattb Young people are rapidly losing their sense of history...it's actually pretty shocking. While we cover a lot of '60s through '80s, we've purposely made serious-minded 28-year-olds our target listener persona.
@Seferyn@hiattb Might take a hi-fi download, good headphones and a lyric sheet to fully get it. Once I did that, I was blown away. Winter is clearly adherent of Astral Weeks-era Van Morrison and Jimmy Miller-era Rolling Stones.
