@TheeNewsRoom Those Chinese that are allowed to block water by filling it to build there must have their building demolished. The reporters can investigate. The state sits down and see wrong but refuse to take action for people to die this way ? How?
@flyethiopian Useless airline. How can customers arrive and use 3hrs to wait for their bags , with no communication and still their bags didn’t arrive with the flight. Not going to recommend this airline for anyone .
@samgeorgegh Sad ! Something has to change because this cyclical flooding must have the govts attention to apply practical measures to stop it and not for it to repeat next year with same destructive effects
@Manasseh_Azure Fraud and scam with this kind of political atmosphere. The system really needs overhauling because it can’t continue to be business as usual. People find ways to take state money with no work to show for it .The same with roads . Tke money for 1st class road and do 5th class road
@askghmedia If the politicians know the time currently they would avoid what would inflame the illegal mining situation. The environment has suffered enough
@SIKAOFFICIAL1 When you travel to many countries you hardly see many people being allowed to live very close to large drainage. There must be measures to prevent these since most of these people use the drains as their garbage dumping site . Fools living like animals
@utvghana Government is for the people not a few . If people build in water way or block rivers to build structures, remove them. This is why the problem has become cyclical . The law breakers know the law doesn’t bite . There zero city planning buy more indiscipline
@5oddsHene Greedy fools . They can’t say no person in authority saw this . They either must have been overwhelmed by policians behind this or if not they must be fired
@GTV_Ghana Never seen this man on the ground when he was a veep and there was flood . They only see the problems when they exit government. They looted all the money meant to fight flooding now they play mine games . Politics is become just a scam to milk the nation by a few
@tv3_ghana If indiscipline is watered down with sympathy and people elected to enforce sanitation and city planning laws refuse to do their job then the problems will pile up. People break building s sanitation laws , go and beg , pay something small and go do worse than before
@Joy997FM What does she mean by let’s agree? Laws are made by state which is deemed fit not for porpular acclamation. Must a few protect their profits for majority to suffer the consequences? A lot of govt appointees seems weekened due to too much interference in carrying out duties
@PulseGhana What a filthy scene. Elected leaders must look for solutions urgently even if it mean hiring foreign city planning and drainage management experts. The indiscipline is too much . Someone builds on water way which results in flooding everywhere ,goes to beg and problem repeats
@eddie_wrt The indiscipline has increased due to failure to implement sanitation by laws. If people know they’ll pay a hefty fine for dumping they’ll stop. There are also not enough waste recycling centers as exits in other pets of the world . Government must recycle waste urgently
@SIKAOFFICIAL1 At this point some people must either resign from their post or get fired . Appointees who cannot apply laws and be effective must not hold any office . Indiscipline cannot be handled with sympathy and comfort.
@askghmedia Even the government may be doubting this as the effect of illegal mining. The rivers that are meat to contain rain in nearby regions gwt destroyed so the water will flow anywhere nationwide
@Citi973 You can’t dredge anything when the govt is not setting up permanent military base at all water bodies . It would be a work in futility. The illegal miners would play hide and seek and keep destroying even when you dredge until they see a permanent security base there
@weloveghana042 Then he should go and build facilities for them so he doesn’t have to stess any property owners. Demand and supply plus cost of building materials he doesn’t control
@garyalsmith Major countries with recycling centers compared to Ghana :
Germany - 1000+
Austria - 500+
Taiwan - 1000+
South Korea - 1000+
Netherlands - 500+
Belgium - 400+
Switzerland - 300+
Ghana - 10
What are priorities of Ghana?
Waste is money but has become a problem in Gh
