We're testing this week, readying our concept.
When we deliver, we want our work be solid. Our testers are giving us their feedback - and we're listening.
It's a process, and every day, we get closer to our goal.
Every week brings new opportunities to improve.
We're doing testing this week on our prototype, getting it ready to ship out the door.
And as always, we're coding, making incremental improvements on what we've done so far - and looking forward to the future yet to come.
Our art's getting more complex - and we're not done yet.
With the work we've done this week, we're now in a good position to advance to serious testing.
For everyone in our community - have a good weekend!
We're adding complexity now: to our art, to our game, and to our NFT series.
This new image that you see below, created entirely through code, is one small part of it - and the work continues.
We look forward to unveiling it all on our release day!
We're continuing to creating code for image generation.
Here, you can see our code at work, with the number of squares on each row & column increasing. This is a building block for our NFT game, one of many.
We plan to keep building.
We're working on programmatic building blocks, the pieces we'll recombine into NFT art compositions.
This piece is made out of 4 individual 'blocks', each with 4 rectangles within them, stacked together.
After this, the figure will go in the center, completing the composition.
We're working on making art out of layered components, combining smaller assets to make our NFT asset.
This shows the basic idea. You can see individual shapes, each of which can be varied by color & shape. Together, they make a face.
This is how our template will be formed.
There's a lot of elements that go into making a game, and dozens of individual pieces of art, many crafted by hand.
Here's one of our concepts, a test monster we probably won't move forward with, but wanted to share with you.
We'll keep creating and updating, day by day.
Today we worked on creating a figure, and combining the component shapes. You can see some of our work below.
Next comes the detail work - adding shading, secondary colors, visual flair.
By tomorrow, we should have the base of this figure, ready to go.
Clothes: that's what we coded today.
You can see a black robe on our figure below.
Next week we'll work on additional layers, including shadows and arms.
Before you know it, we'll have a textured figure, ready to go for our NFT set.
Polygons: we've got them.
Today we added 3-sided polygons (triangles), with the ability to add more sides (5, 6, etc) as needed.
We also made rectangles made up of smaller rectangles - the | | | | lines below.
Follow us to watch our progress. Day by day, we're getting there.
Today we worked on shape variations. For circles and squares, it's easy to see how it works.
Next up: mastering polygons - which will increase the visual complexity by a lot.
Another day of building the tools for our NFT art set.
You can see the beginnings of a player template, and us trying out stacking with a few shapes.
Our next task will be to start increasing the complexity and detail level, which we'll be showing off here as we implement it.
Programmatic art: we're all in on it.
After iterating through a few concepts, we're doubling down now on making all our NFT art through code.
This is another test image, increasing the number of elements. By tomorrow, we expect to be able to generate NFT-level images.
Today we tackled something new: compositing images. You can see a test one below, made up of multiple layers of simpler images.
We have our 'game plan' in place. Now we're creating the images we want to use to make up our NFTs: once selected,we'll recombine them to make the set.
We're working on general concepts now, mockups like the one shown below.
Also, curves: lines and circles are too simple for true art. We need depth and complexity.
We'll keep at it. With each iteration, we get better.
Progress has been slow and steady.
We fixed a color issue (that's why the colors in our past images didn't match) and experimented with constructing shapes. We'll continue with that.
Next, we'll be working on a template for our images and building on that for our NFT series.
