@Curiosity_Films @42WildFlowerz @CalRecycle@InsideNatGeo@storyofstuff If you can figure out a solution the industry would be all ears! search PLU stickers & you’ll find sites that list them all. @42WildFlowerz @Curiosity_Films @CalRecycle@InsideNatGeo@storyofstuff Yes, great points also Wild Flowerz! There r numerous others also depending on variety. Sweet Red Italian onions are PLU 3286 & we use 4083 for red onions. We also have separate numbers for Vidalia Sweets (4159) Walla Walla Sweets (4163) & other sweet varieties.

Once again to make sure the proper onions are charged the proper amount. Another reason is branding. We hope you potentially recognize our onions, have had good experience & ask for Curry & Company in the future.
@Curiosity_Films @42WildFlowerz @CalRecycle@InsideNatGeo@storyofstuff Happy to. primarily it’s because of the different varieties. Especially sweet onions vs. regular yellow onions. Sweet onions cost more & if unlabeled, they are often charged as regular onions. Which loses money then of course. Onions are especially difficult because of the skins.
