If the sens bag Robertson with a long term extension, hard to say that's not an upgrade on Tkachuk. What they lose on toughness, they gain in production.
It would be a big deal, likely one of Yakemchuk or Hensler on the move and at least one of the first rounders. But doable.
Look, I don't like that Brady left, but going to play with your brother is at least somewhat respectable.
He was a good captain in his time here. Always took time for the kids in the arena.
I don't like it, but this wasn't as big of a betrayal as people think.
It's got to be Chabot. Longest serving Senator by a longshot. Doesn't deserve the hate he's gotten recently.
Absolute warrior at the end of the season/playoffs. Big in the room.
@SensfleckTy Yeah and I'm saying we likely need to improve the defence too. Ullmark's covered up some black eyes.
You're absolutely right about the Fwds, we need goal scorers, but we're likely also a defensive contributor away from really competing too.
Pump the brakes. Ullmark played out of his mind and made our defense look better.
Not saying we were bad, but there is room for improvement. The injuries contributed, but still.
@DLee075 The Sens have been obsessed with size for years, but I do understand it. I wish they focused more on skill in the higher rounds, and focused more on size in the later rounds. We've missed several stars recently because we valued size in the 1st & 2nd rounds
I find it a bit cringe when seemingly self-hating Canadians try and find any trivial excuse to criticise the PM and by doing so insult great Canadians who've served their nation's best interest.
Put your hatred of Carney aside and stop insulting those who've earned that award.
I find it a bit cringe when Carney wears his Order of Canada medal around his neck in public like this, like he just finished winning second place at the blueberry pie bake-off.
@ShackTS More like 1-2 depending on the size and how good they are a buck moving. But yeah. We probably need that. Sandy is 1D, but to be a real top tier contender, we need another big piece. Maybe 2.
@ShackTS Obviously depends on the cost, but agreed. That contract will become more and more digestible with time and an increasing cap. If he can produce ~60pts it's a decent contract. If he produces that and is good defensively, great. If he produces more it's a top tier contract.
@ShackTS Totally agreed, I'm not even saying we need to move him particularly. But if you're able to find that big, physical, puck mover that every team dreams of, I'd say you have to consider moving him or Zub. Assuming we're keeping Sandy and Chabot.
