It’s been 10 years since Sandy Hook.
Today, 19 children went to school and never came back.
Countless other incidents since Sandy Hook. And now today.
Nothing has changed. Every time it’s “too soon”, “not the right time” or “guns weren’t the problem”
E-Bike and E-scooter injuries have been on a sharp rise in the last several years, due to more availability and increased use by children. These are not the same as their standard counterparts. Thanks to @sltrib for helping us highlight this issue! https://t.co/KwV2WUyIKk
Please dear #Santa do not leave these under anyone’s tree;

Dear incoming interns:
Remember that your attendings have been practicing medicine for years, while you're essentially getting a new job every 4 weeks.
Know that your job is not to know everything. You job is to show up, ask questions, & care deeply for your patients.
I've been thinking about compassion and pediatricians.
There's an idea that pediatricians are "softer" than internal medicine docs because we take care of kids. And kids are cute! Funny! Sticky! 1/
On the one-year anniversary of the Uvalde shooting, we are lifting up some of the 300+ stories of gun violence that we submitted to the Senate from pediatricians across the country. They are still just as resonant and relevant. We will keep advocating to #EndGunViolence. (1/2)
The decision surrounding delaying parenthood for medical training should be individualized. We shouldn't be telling all trainees to delay, nor should we be telling all trainees to not delay especially considering how hostile academic medicine can be to pregnant trainees.
Bethel alumni are making a difference in Minnesota, across the nation, and all over the world! Biology grad Dr. Curtis Bashore ’15 recently offered his medical expertise during primetime news in Austin, Texas. Watch the segment: https://t.co/pBPft6Vse3
Grateful for the opportunity to share about burn prevention this morning on @fox7austin! February is Burn Prevention Month, and it’s important to recognize simple fixes one can make around the house to protect their children from burns! https://t.co/z4kbVZFHgJ
They don’t tell you when you have a kid that your Spotify Wrapped is no longer going to be all the fun cool artists you listened to, but instead, the entire #Encanto soundtrack.
No regrets though, it’s a great album.
