Why? It comes down to the fact that Salmon may no longer be treated as a public resource.

In British Columbia, recreational fishers could lose priority access to chinook and coho, key species of Salmon. 

Under the proposal, sport fishing moves to the back of the line.

Priority will now be:
1) First Nations
2) Commercial fisheries
3) Recreational fisheries (which effectively means the industry dies)

Small coastal towns depend on it.
Their proposal means less access & economic destruction.

We have the opportunity to stop this. It’s not too late.
