Every relationship doesnt have to be reciprocal.
Thats w false expectation.
Theres some people that i would drop what im doing to help out. Yet, i understand it’s not guaranteed they will do the same.
Im still willing to honor how i feel and what im cool w doing inspite of
I did it in high school, i did it in college, i did it in my 20’s, now I’m doing it in my 30’s
What more do they need?
Ive never let a set back hold me back
Align w proven winners even when things seem slow for them. Bc you kno its only a matter of time before they rise again.
That same season requires a high level of intention to MAKE time for the ppl & things that matter most beyond that season of grit and grind.
The key is knowing your priorities in THIS moment and honoring that.
Your priorities today, may not match your priorities tomorrow.
When on the relentless pursuit of ur goals, like your life depends on it:
Theres certain seasons that require a high level of discipline & restraint from certain people and the littlest things.
I dont expect to be given anything but what I’ve worked for and earned.
Thus, i expect to win. I expect to be successful in every aspect of my life that I’ve committed to.
When i see others succeed, I love it. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE what that process looked like to get there!
Too many people look at the lens’s of success 3-5+ years in. They only see results and aim for THAT or admire THAT.
They aren’t able to see the grit, relentless conviction and genius that had to be present the first 3 yrs in the midst of adversity and sometimes loneliness.
If WE want to win, we have to be prepared to ride the rollercoaster and be willing to invest in the journey.
Sacrifice and fatigue will be common.
Every person I admire (on any level) has a story and their story has been motivation that created realistic expectations for me
Too many parents and athletes want “NOW” results.
Yes, there’s a time and place for NOW results. However it doesn’t show up in the entire program.
Thats how injury occurs and false sense of “getting better then everyone else” reveals itself.
#SportsPerformanceTraining at it’s core is based on simple concepts that are detailed oriented
Social media and peoples desire to get “likes” make it look more complicated than it is. And a lot of times those complexities aren’t as transferable to the field-of-play as you think
Great coaching has prerequisites for progression in their program.
Simultaneously they ensure a solid foundation is established with their athletes.
They embrace the process of development, bc they know this will allow exponential growth and performance in the long run.
We have to be able to to define our strengths, shortcomings, goals, priorities, boundaries and etc in any given season.
I have a system for doing this, if interested in learning more - shoot me a DM
When we havent defined, or simply found, our purpose, we get involved in a plethora things.
THINGS that feel purposefully in the moment, but dont possess the long term value that gets us to our ULTIMATE destination efficiently.
Note: it impedes that process but doesnt stop it.
Dont get me wrong, that season of touching any and everything bc WE CAN is apart of the journey for some.
For others its just a matter of sitting down and defining where we are and why. #Reflection
Then identifying what we need to do to move more intentionally to create goals
