@carlzimmer Would you take a vaccine b4 p3 trials were published? I have an opportunity to receive this vaccine (Sinovac) but I’m reluctant b/c little has been published. Yet some immunity is better than none - I think.
If I receive this would I be ineligible for other (+effective) vaccines?

@JenicaAtwin @DFO_MAR I agree the anger is misplaced. The anger should be directed toward the fed gov and DFO who failed to define ‘moderate livelihood’ and development the regulatory framework to sustain the fishery. The institution is not dynamic enough to implement the radical changes needed.

It certainly hasn’t always been the case. 5 Decades of conservation efforts & some lucky (for the species) environmental change have lead to record population numbers. It’s unclear how long it will last. But I agree there has never been a better time to share the bounty.

Yet the very structure of the agency assigned to foster that cooperation is so deeply flawed it has no vested interest in double my so. We need a social contract but lack a trust on all sides 5/x
