Daft Jamie was a well known street urchin with learning difficulties and physical deformity but he was strong and sober. He put up fight when Burke and Hare murdered him. The anatomy students recognised him.

Burke and Hare tended to prey on vulnerable women as they were an easy mark. Effie who was a cinder gather and another unnamed women were their victims.

The body count increases. Burke and Hare got greedy for the money paid by the anatomy schools. Two double murders: An old woman and her 12 year old grandson, Mrs Haldane and her daughter Peggy.
